Local Food Drive Helps Fight Corona Virus War
Hi, I’m Brandy Lee, a local Realtor in the Nashville area and we’re out here and for this food drive. You can see the line is wrapping all around the middle school. We’ve been out here since 7:45 this morning and it’s almost 11am. There’s so many workers out here with several ministries who have donated a massive amount of food. This food is high quality produce like fresh broccoli, carrots, salad, meat, milk, dairy and the line just keeps going. Grace Works is the ministry who coordinated this local outreach event. It’s located in Franklin, TN and run by Valencia who is doing an amazing job. There are a lot of volunteers that are organized and following Corona Virus prevention protocol. It’s nice to see so many people in need that are getting probably about $300 or $400 worth of high quality groceries. They’ve had to wait in line for a while, but it will be worth it. All of the workers are keeping pace and it’s a beautiful day. So there are still good things going on even in the midst of this virus crisis.
